Our November 27 – December 7, 2022 Itinerary
Day 1- Sunday, November 27th
Fly into Nice airport (NCE) to be greeted by your tour guide, Dee Poquette and your private driver. After gathering your luggage we will head off to our first hotel, Hotel Victor Hugo. After checking in and a quick freshening up we will be whisked off by our driver for a quick visit to Villefranche-sur-Mer, Monaco and finally Èze. We finish our afternoon with a leisurely lunch in a village bistro. After lunch we head back to Nice and our hotel for the night.
Day 2 – Monday, November 28th
After breakfast we head to Saint-Paul-de-Vence with a stopover at the Famous Maison Godet Perfumery. After you have delighted your senses with the beautiful scents at Maison Godet, we head to lunch at Un Coeur en Provence then explore the village.
In the afternoon we leave Saint-Paul-de-Vence and drive to La Cadière-d’Azur to check into Hotel Berard. We will be here in this beautiful place for three nights, so feel free to unpack or perhaps take a stroll around the village. We will enjoy a welcome dinner together in the lovely Jef’s Bistro.
Day 3 – Tuesday, November 29th
Drive to historic Le Castellet and explore the village (Trou de Madame, Saint Saviour Church), followed by a leisurely lunch.
We will drive to Chateau d’Evenos to tour the ruins of a medieval village where construction began in 1141. Then wine tasting at Domaine de Terrebrune in Ollioules followed by dinner at Le Regain.
Day 4 – Wednesday, November 30th
Breakfast in the morning at the hotel or skip and purchase breakfast on your own at the market. Then we are off to Sanary-sur-Mer to visit this sea side village and its holiday market, which has been voted one of the best in Southern France.
We returen to Hotel Berard for an al fresco lunch, (weather permitting) at La Petite Cave. Then it is time to enjoy your pre-booked spa treatment at the Aroma Spa, followed by dinner at Domaine Carpe Diem.
Day 5 – Thursday, December 1st
Today is our last day at the Hotel Berard and we are off to Aix en Provence where we will check into Hôtel Cézanne. We will meet up with our local guide for a three hour walking food tour.
We will visit the Christmas and Santon Markets in the village and enjoy a Christmas Concert at Saint-Sauvers Cathedral followed by dinner at Deux Garcon (if open).
Day 6 – Friday, December 2nd
After breakfast we depart for Les Pastras Truffle hunting and tasting. Your afternoon is free to explore Aix and then we meet for dinner at Le Bistrot.
Day 7 – Saturday, December 3rd
This morning we visit the market on Cours Mirabeau and stroll to the flower and food markets in old town Aix. If time allows we will visit the Fountaine des Quatre-Dauphins, Musée du Vieil-Aix and L’Atelier de Cézanne
In the early afternoon we depart for an olive picking tour, followed by a quiet evening with free time and dinner on your own.
Day 8 – Sunday, December 4th
Today we will have breakfast at the hotel and then we are off to L’lsle-sur-la-Sorgue to visit the holiday market. We have lunch at Patisserie Jouvaud and return to market for last minute purchases, visit 17th Century church and finally pick up dinner for the night.
Day 9 – Monday, December 5th
Today we will have breakfast at the hotel before checking out and heading back to Nice. When we arrive in Nice, we say good-bye to our wonderful driver and check into the Hôtel Apollinaire Nice. Afternoon is free time followed by dinner in Viex (Old Town) at Marcel Bistro.
Day 10 – Tuesday, December 6th
We have saved one of the best experiences to the last. After breakfast at the hotel we meet our guide Rosa Jackson for a Cours Saleya Market tour, cooking class and lunch with Petits Farcis.
The afternoon and evening are yours to explore and have dinner on your own.
Day 11 – Wednesday, December 7th
After breakfast and a photo session, it’s sadly time to head home or wherever the road might take you, together with luggage full of treasures and memories of a lifetime!
Trip Cost for 10 NIGHTS/11 DAYS:
$5,750 USD/person
Initial Deposit of $2,875 due at the time of booking.
Remaining deposit of $2,875 is due three months before scheduled departure date.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
Welcome Kit including your detailed itinerary and a Jackdaw Journeys market bag.
Licensed, comfortable Mercedes transportation (gas, tolls and parking included) for each destination and activity. This includes transfer from Nice airport to our first hotel upon your arrival to beautiful Southern France – all guests will be asked to arrive at the same time so we can coordinate the group pickup and kick off the tour together.
Accommodations (room + tax) for 10 nights through the duration of our tour. Incidentals are on own.
Breakfast each morning (11 days).
1 Lunch included – most days we are out and about and grab lunch while exploring.
1 Welcome dinner – the beauty of our tour is we can experience the many tastes of Provence, and guests enjoy the local restaurants and cafes or a simple supper of goods from the farmers market (local bread, cheese, charcuterie and wine)!

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED
Flight – your flight from your home to Nice is not included in our tour package. We recommend using sites such as kayak.com or hopper to set up a search for the best flight costs. We’ve also found that flight searches on Tuesday nights can sometimes land you a great deal!
Gratuity for your driver or service people.
Travel Insurance – we recommend travel insurance for all travelers. Make sure you research your insurance policy to cover any issues that might arrive from Covid-19. See our Covid Cancellation policy.
Any meals not specified above – we’ve created our itinerary so our guests can truly experience Provence – some meals are included but for those that aren’t, the beauty of our tour is the flexibility to eat with the group or do what suits you best. Our goal is for you to truly relax and rejuvenate, not feel tied to a rigid timeline.
Your return transfer to the airport – some guests decide to tack on a few extra days, while others might decide to leave on our last “official” day. Depending on flight times and schedules, each guest arranges their own transport back to the airport simply by asking the front desk to book a taxi for you. If you are leaving from our hotel in Nice, this cost is usually around $15-$20 per person as we are only about 25-30 minutes away from the airport.
