Fly into Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport to be greeted by your Host and Tour Guide, Dee Poquette. Meet your fellow tour Guests, then head off to our first home away from home, a hotel & spa tucked in the mountains of Provence. Weʼll stop off on the way in a medieval village for lunch and exploring. A welcome dinner awaits on your first night in Provence!
Experience the sights and sounds of a local farmerʼs market . Here youʼll gather ingredients for todayʼs cooking lesson with our Michel in Star-rated Chef* in his kitchen—set in a charming culinary garden, following which weʼll dine on our creations. Your afternoon is at leisure to explore the beautiful village and shops, relax by the pool , or use our discount code towards being pampered at the spa.
Your culinary experience continues with another, fabulous cooking class with our Michelin Star-rated Chef*, followed by wine tastings throughout the sunkissed Bandol region of Provence. Enjoy the breathtaking sights and phenomenal range of tastes native to Provence—a truly magical feast for the senses!
*Cooking Class days and locations may vary.
Today we’ll be exploring a neighboring village unknown by most tourists—your Guide knows the secret spots for the best views. Trust us, this alone is worth the trip! Next, we’ll visit another delightful village known for its beautiful markets and shops, where photo ops abound around every corner. After a leisurely visit, we’ll make our way to the local oceanside markets dotting the port towns of Provence. We’ll also enjoy the salty breeze during our boat trip from Cassis to Calanques, while experiencing Provence by sea. Words simply cannot describe the seductive colors of the Mediterranean—you’ll just have to experience it all for yourself!
As we bid au revoir to the mountains, we’ll be moving on to Aix-en-Provence, a gorgeous ‘mini Paris’ overflowing with all the beguiling charm you’d expect of a quaint, centuries-old city. After checking into our hotel, we’ll explore the local shops, making a stop along the way at the home of a renowned French confectionary, known for their Calissons—a traditional French candy. Calissons have been made at this shop since 1874—and if we’re lucky, we’ll be treated to a quick tour and demonstration of how they’re made.
Your Guide will always be present if needed, but you’re at liberty to spend the entire day wandering about gorgeous Aix-en-Provence, where French culture and history are alive and well in a morning marketplace and a plethora of churches, museums, restaurants and more—all just waiting for you to explore and enjoy to your heart’s content.
Today we’ll take an early morning drive to the charming Provençal village of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, known the world over for its authentic brocante (antique) markets. This little gem is why we say to pack an extra, empty bag—you’ll want one today to lug all your treasures back to our hotel! French linens, silverware, china, furniture… the possibilities are endless—it just depends how much room you allow for bringing your finds home. Your Tour Guide will even coach you on how to barter to advantage, in order to get the best price!
We say our goodbyes to the fair city of Aix, while making our way back towards Nice—but not before a quick stop in the dazzling, medieval village of Eze— perched on the edge of a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. We’ll explore this extraordinary spot by wandering its many cobblestone streets, chock full of shops and stunning gardens. After a leisurely lunch, we make our way back to Nice—where you can experience this fabled city’s beautiful ocean views, peruse its old town area, la Vieille Ville where last minute purchases abound, or just linger by the sea—enjoying a spritz on our last day in Provence.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED
Flights – Your flights to & from your home to Nice are not included in our tour package. We recommend using such online resources as kayak.com or hopper.com to search for the best flight costs. We’ve also found that flight searches on Tuesday nights are sometimes best for landing great deals!
Travel Insurance – We recommend travel insurance for all our Guests.
Any meals not specified in the “what’s included” section – We’ve designed our itinerary so that our Guests can experience Provence optimally. Some meals are included but for those that aren’t, the beauty of our tour is the flexibility to eat with the group, or do what suits you best. Our goal is for you to truly relax and rejuvenate, never feeling strapped to a rigid timeline or itinerary.
Your return transfer to Nice Airport – Some Guests decide to tack on a few extra days, while others may opt to leave on our last ‘official’ day. You Guide will arrange for your transportation back to the airport, depending on flight times and schedules—however, each Guest is responsible for paying for that transportation (if leaving from our last hotel in Nice, this cost is typically $15-$20/person, as we are only about 25-30 minutes away).
